The Episcopal Church of the Ascension is a small, friendly, welcoming and inclusive church family.  We are a caring and committed church where people of all ages gather to worship God, grow in our faith, and enjoy each other's company. Gathering together in community to seek God – drawing near to God and to each other – is the heart of what we do as Christians. At Ascension and Little Shepherd, everyone is welcome, young or old, rich or poor, gay or straight, lifelong Episcopalian or newcomer, absolutely no exceptions. We hope you join us!

Meals on Wheels
We are continuing deliveries of Meals On Wheels, but people who customarily eat in the church basement on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday will collect their meals at the back door. This is to protect those who are at high risk as much as we can.

Community Arts marked its official start April 1, 2022 at T. Rex Hall in Salida, offering studio space to those wanting to continue/start/explore their creative journeys. Gallery space is in the planning stages. T. Rex Hall is located on E Street across from Salida’s library. The building formerly housed the local Montessori School. Episcopal Church of the Ascension owns the building and sought a nonprofit organization to take over the space.
