About Us​

Salida Council for the Arts is a 501c(3) all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the arts in Salida. Programs include Creative Mixers, Valley Visions Art Exhibition, Community Grants, High School Scholarships and supporting other arts organizations in Salida. We are supported by the Salida Creative District and private donations.

Our Mission​

Our mission is to enrich the cultural life of our community by supporting the Arts. We do this through funding, through advocacy and by creating opportunities for artists to grow and to engage with the community.

Each month on the second Thursday, the Salida Council for the Arts presents the Creative Mixer. All artists and art lovers are encouraged to attend and meet like-minded people, share influences and news and to be inspired by the energy that makes Salida a center of support and creative expression.

​Enjoy art in the Paquette Gallery while listening to a local musician. All are welcome. A cash bar is provided.

​Representatives from local creative endeavors – news publications, gallery shows, projects, concerts, plays – are invited to get up on the soapbox and promote their news.
