The tour departs every other hour from 9 am through 3 pm
Our season begins May 15 with daily tours through September 15.
This is an exciting two hour mini-adventure for the whole family.

Off season tour schedules run Friday - Saturday - Sunday (weather permitting)
There is no guarantee the mine will be operating during the off season except for specially scheduled tours previously booked. Please call ahead (719) 539-7786.

Bookings: Rock Shop (719-539-2019; Located between Salida and Buena Vista) 30 min. before the tour. Trips also depart from Earth Treasures in downtown Salida (719-539-3904) and the Salida Museum (539-4432) located next to the Chamber of Commerce on Hwy 50.

*Important Note: This tour requires light hiking down a sloping, rocky path to access the mine. The mine's terrain is level and easily traveled. Visitors must be in reasonably good physical condition with sturdy tennis shoes or better, sandals are discouraged. Inside mine temperature is a cool 50º year round.
